Summer Musical: Oliver! Auditions

Summer Musical Auditions

Saturday, May 30th
Oliver!

DaySpring announces auditions for their summer musical Oliver!

Everyone that auditions is required to register for our summer workshop.  Please download a form here.  All students that register will be cast (whether you audition or not).

Auditions will take place on Saturday, May 30th between 9:00 and 2:30.

All ages are welcome to audition but we especially recommend students ages 9 & up sign-up for an audition, definitely anyone interested in a larger role.

Please call the office 3134-291-8878 to schedule an audition time.  If you need an alternate audition date please let us know (office@dayspringarts.org) and we'll work something out.

Click here for MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP DETAILS... (dates, times, full description, pricing).

What to prepare for auditions...

  • Actors should prepare a 1-1.5 minute musical theatre song.  This song should be sung as if being performed as part of a musical (with acting... they should not just stand and sing).  Actors may be asked to read some lines from the Oliver script if needed.
  • All songs must have accompaniment, no acapella auditions.  We prefer students to use a karaoke track on ipod/mp3 device or CD, but we will als have a pianist available if needed.  Karaoke tracks can be found on itunes or youtube by searching the name of the song + "karaoke".

That Motown Sound

DaySpring Arts and Education is proud to present "That Motown Sound", brought to you by the students of Rebecca Garcia's Studio.

Join us as we take a look at the fab music that pioneered the Civil Rights movement and shaped pop music as we know it. Look for your favorites, such as The Jackson 5, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and more! We will be joined by horns and Spatz, a local jazz group that's outta sight!
