SHORT SESSIONS

Art Explorers
Ages 7-9

These project-based lessons are designed to teach students about the principles of art.  They will participate in a variety of projects using different media like ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and painting. Students will begin basic understanding of the elements and principles of art seen in both their own art and others’ including many famous artists in history. This is a very fun and active class for eager kids!

Art Creators 
Ages 5-6

Designed for young students to explore famous artists and the elements of art using a variety of materials including paint, oil pastel, clay, and much more! While learning about value, shape, color, line, form, and texture, students will be able to begin exploring their own creativity and make lots of fun and interactive projects each week!

Printmaking Basics
Ages 10+

Welcome to beginner printmaking! This hands-on 4 week session is perfect for anyone interested in exploring the art of printmaking. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop will provide you with the knowledge and skills to create beautiful block prints.

Photography Essentials
Ages 11+

Transform your everyday snapshots into extraordinary works of art with our beginners cell phone photography course! This 4 week Saturday workshop will teach you how to capture stunning images using just your smartphone, focusing on key elements like composition and editing through phone apps. Guided by our Teaching Artist Erica Popp, you will learn to master framing, lighting, and color balance, elevating your photos from ordinary to extraordinary. All you need is a fully charged smartphone with wifi capability and a camera to get started on this creative journey. Join us to unlock your potential and make every shot a masterpiece!

Printmaking for Adults
Ages 18+

This 4 week session is for beginners and intermediate skill levels. Learn to create greeting cards, invitations and posters using the art of printmaking! Participants explore both traditional and experimental printmaking techniques, with an emphasis on the development of ideas and concepts.
